Again Morocco seeks to attract investors needed to develop the
country's largely untapped potential. To fulfil this aims, it is
issuing a tender for international oil companies for a 5-10 year
exploration strategy to develop the country's large stretches of
unexplored fields totalling at in excess of 500,000 square km.
Investment is similarly required for oil refining; to this end the
UK's Coster and Wheeler has been appointed consultant by Samir for the
expansion of the country's main refinery at Mohammedia.
